13:3. ನಾನು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದನ್ನು ಜನರ ಊಟಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಬಹುದು. ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಪಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೇಹವನ್ನೇ ಸಜೀವದಹನವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ನನಗೇನೂ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಿಲ್ಲ.

13:3. ನನಗಿರುವದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ನನ್ನ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಸುಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿ ಸಿದರೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ನನಗಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ನನಗೇನೂ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

13:3. If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body in order to boast, but do not have love, I receive no benefit.
